Autumn
Autumn is a magical time to visit Edinburgh. The air is crisp, and the leaves are a mix of golden yellows and burnt reds and oranges. The August festival season may be over, but there is still plenty going on at the Edinburgh Festivals.
In October, the Scottish International Storytelling Festival takes place; a celebration of the art of storytelling in all its forms.
The event features a blend of storytelling performances, workshops, outdoor events and an engaging family strand, set in charming venues like the Scottish Storytelling Centre and other locations around the city. The festival’s timing - close to Halloween - adds an extra layer of magic, with ghostly tales and eerie narratives often taking centre stage.
Here’s a guide to everything that’s taking place in autumn at the Edinburgh Festivals.
