The Edinburgh International Children’s Festival is an annual celebration of exceptional Scottish and international theatre and dance for young audiences, with a focus on performances that are deeply engaging, innovative and inspiring. The Festival is attended by 15,000 children, their teachers and families, as well as artists and professionals from all over the world. 

About the Role

We are looking for someone to recruit, coordinate and support a team of Volunteers and Front of House for the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival and to ensure audience and volunteers have the best possible experience. Key Tasks abd Responsibilities include:

  • To work with the Senior Producer to recruit and plan a front of house and volunteer team for the Edinburgh International Children’s Festival including for the Family Day at the National Museum of Scotland
  • To produce and implement a team building and training programme for Volunteers and Front of House.
  • To coordinate and support the front of house and volunteer team throughout the festival period.
  • To update Imaginate’s database of volunteers and front of house.
  • To create a volunteer and front of house schedule across the Festival with the Senior Producer.
  • To work within the allocated front of house and volunteer budget.
  • To assist the festival team as required in the run up to Festival.
  • To assist the Senior Producer to manage the setup of Box office at festival venues.
  • To assist front of house with some box office and audience queries and issues when required.
  • To ensure that all Health and Safety requirements are adhered to within volunteers and front of house teams.
