The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a world-class event, rooted in Scottish tradition, offering audiences an experience like no other. Performed to a live audience of 230,000 each year on the iconic Edinburgh Castle Esplanade, the Tattoo showcases creativity through music, precision performances and dance from military and cultural acts from around the globe.

About the Role

We are looking for Accessibility Stewards to deliver inclusive, high-quality customer service that supports diverse access needs and enhances the guest experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities are to:

  • Provide assistance to guests who have additional needs in a friendly and engaging way – including wheelchair pushing on ascent to the venue.
  • Be able to confidently assist customers with varying levels of physical and mental conditions while maintaining a positive demeanour
  • Provide support and assist with reseating guest(s) with accessibility needs.
  • Confidently use radios to communicate with colleagues if necessary.
  • Understand the security and safety plans and their role in it.
  • Be familiar with the layout of the site and assist the audience by giving directions to facilities.
  • Investigate any disturbances or incidents, reporting any issues to supervisors.
  • Deliver the Personal Emergency Evacuation Plan (PEEP) for access customers if applicable.
