Not long to go until Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival 2025
There's not long to go now until the opening of the 2025 Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival [11 to 20 July] and with gigs taking place across the entirety of the city, you're guaranteed to find something you like. But get booking those tickets now because we already have a host of sold-out concerts. So here's a few ideas to get you going.
Join us for the opening of Spiegeltent!
We are so excited to be back in The Famous Spiegeltent in St Andrew Square for this year's festival. We open the venue with the amazing raconteur and brilliant jazz violinist, George Washingmachine, stunning Scottish singer Marianne McGregor and must-see pianist Joe Webb.
Your only chance to catch...
We have a host of international names who will play their only Scottish date with us this July. Don't miss Poland's Aga Zaryan, Joanna Duda and Pawel Kaczmarczyk, America's Curtis Stigers, Julian Lage and Kenny Wayne Shepherd, as well as next generation artists from Poland and Luxembourg.
OutSTANDING concerts
Two of the hottest bands on the European scene bring techno, electronica and progressive rock to the Spiegeltent on Thu 17 July. Our Double Bill with Germany's LBT & Poland's Immortal Onion is your only chance to join us on the Spiegeltent dancefloor this year.
The heart of Scottish Jazz
Our programme is bursting with Scottish talent with Dave Milligan's CHROMA and Colin Steele's STRAMASH serving up a blend of Scottish folk and jazz. We also celebrate some of the legends of the music with Paul Harrison's tribute to Keith Jarret's Koln Concert and Playtime celebrating Henry Threadgill.
Afternoon concerts
There are plenty of chances to join us during the day across the festival, with 2pm concerts every weekday in the Spiegeltent, as well as afternoons at St Bride's in Dalry. Both are easily accessed by buses and very handy for the Edinburgh trams!
And we already have a number of sold-out shows, including:
- Maid of the Forth [Fri 11]
- Blues Afternoons [Sat 12, Sun 13, Sat 19, Sun 20]
- Jazz For Kids [Sat 12]
