Book Festival - Marketing & Press Assistant

£19,000 pro rata + 5% pension contribution

The Edinburgh International Book Festival is looking for a Marketing and Press Assistant. 

The Marketing & Press Assistant will play a valuable role in supporting the marketing team to successfully deliver 2020 campaign activities, co-ordinating elements of the marketing for our Citizen festival in May and the August Book Festival. This is a busy and varied role requiring excellent organisation and interpersonal skills and includes contributing ideas to planning, looking after distribution lists, assisting with social media activity, copywriting, proofreading, monitoring media coverage and helping with filming and interviews. A great opportunity for a highly organised and enthusiastic person to boost their event marketing knowledge and skills.

Closing date for applications is Thursday 30 January 2020, 5pm. Interviews will be held at the Book Festival’s office, 5 Charlotte Square, Edinburgh EH2 4DR around w/c 10 February 2020 (exact dates to be confirmed).
