Submissions to Official Inquiries - Scotland
The Business Plan of Festivals Edinburgh identifies Advocacy & Evidence Building as one of our strategic priorities - and this work involves the identification of issues critical to the future of our eleven festivals, the building of an evidence base around such issues, the development of a collective position in relation to those issues and the communication of such a position to key decision makers. Communicating our position is especially important in the context of public inquiries - note that we have a separate documents section related to public inquiries in the UK Parliament or the UK Government HERE, and one for consultations and inquiries aby City of Edinburgh Council HERE. There have been a number of such inquiries in recent years dealing with a range of issues which we think are crucial to our festivals' future and our submissions are listed below:
