International Festival Reveals New Programme Strand

The Edinburgh International Festival has announced the final strand of its 2019 programme: You Are Here.

You Are Here completes the line-up for the Edinbugrh International Festival which returns for its 73rd year on 2 – 26 August 2019 and features 93 events, with 293 performances across 17 venues and 2600 artists from 40 nations - bringing the best of theatre, music and dance from across the world to Scotland’s capital.

How are First Nation's peoples in Greenland responding to our rapidly changing world? What does the #metoo movement mean to a young working mother in Lagos? What role is music playing in the search for peace in the Middle East? These are just some of the questions posed by You Are Here. In a season of performances, conversations, readings and fresh thinking, passionate artists from around the globe invite you to explore where we are now and, more importantly, where are we headed.
