Edinburgh's Hogmanay are looking for help from the public in making the final choice of a #ScotWord, choosing from a shortlist of suggestions from Scotland's young people.

The ScotWord project kicks off the Year of Young People 2018 and was launched earlier in the year. Young people across the country were asked to choose a single word describing why they are proud to live in Scotland, with thousands of suggestions flooding in over the following weeks.
Now after a selection event involving much discussion (and quite a lot of paper!) the ScotWords have been narrowed down to just seven options and the public can vote for the word they think most deserves the accolade.
The seven remaining words are:
- Alive
- Bonnie
- Braw
- Culture
- Diversity
- Hame
- Welcome
The winning #ScotWord will be revealed as part of the Edinburgh's Hogmanay Torchlight Procession on 30 December, with the word itself spelled out by the thousands of fiery torches.
To have your say and vote for one of the seven words above, just visit the Edinburgh's Hogmanay website before noon on Sunday 17 December.
