Science Festival’s Mini Maker Faire seeks tinkerers
Edinburgh International Science Festival is hosting the 2016 Edinburgh Mini Maker Faire for the fourth time, and organisers are looking for, in their words, “innovators, crafters, tinkerers, tailors and geeks” to take part.
For anyone who likes getting their hands dirty and making or repurposing things, the annual Faire (on the final day of the Science Festival, Sunday 10 April 2016) is a great opportunity to showcase your skills.
Organisers are expecting over 2000 people to pack Summerhall in Edinburgh’s South East side to find out more about the maker movement and see the inspiring work created by participants. Here's a video with 2015's highlights:
So whether it’s inventing gadgets, making your own robots, creating 3D printed objects, developing applications for Arduino and Raspberry Pi, Minecraft creations, hardware, software, scientific experiments, crafts, food, or anything else, creative types should check it out.

Edinburgh International Science Festival runs from 26 March to 10 April 2016.
