The two festivals are working together on major new collaboration project, Ek Prem Kahani - A Bollywood Love Story, work from which will be featured in the Tattoo throughout August (6-29) before the show's full world première on Sunday 30 August, at the Mela.

And to make it all happen, the festivals are looking for dance enthusiasts to form part of the production's cast, to perform both in the full performance and in front of the Tattoo's live audience of 220,000, plus a further 100-300 million on television worldwide.

Open dance auditions for Ek Prem Kahani will take place on Sunday 17 May (11am-4pm) at Dancebase in the capital's Grassmarket area. Successful auditionees, who must be available for all reheasals and all performances, will be cast alongside Bollywood dance professionals from Mumbai.
