Glimpse dancers in full flight... at the International Festival
There's no better place to experience world-class dance, theatre, opera and music than the Edinburgh International Festival, where extraordinary performers come together, sharing Edinburgh's stages to produce works of staggering artistry.
Natalia Osipova, Netherlands Dans Theater (above) and Ballet Zürich are just a few of the standout dance practicioners to have appeared in recent years.
It’s not all classical though, as the festival features world class artists from a variety of different disciplines. Hip Hop made its debut at the festival in 2017, with the Olivier Award-winning Boy Blue Entertainment performing a bold, powerful work entitled Blak Whyte Grey.
Witnessing the breadth and quality of talent is truly special; as impressive displays of technical excellence are married with emotionally gripping performances.
This focus on excellence across art forms has been the beating heart of the Edinburgh International Festival since its inception in 1947.
