Momentum Alumni - Welcome to 2022!
Based in Edinburgh and running for the last week of July and throughout the month of August, Momentum provides a dynamic platform for key cultural players from across the world to engage and build relationships with the world’s leading Festival City, the wider Scottish cultural sector, and the international community that flocks to Edinburgh during the peak Festivals Season.
2022 marks the 75th anniversary of Edinburgh's birth as a world-leading festival city. Formed in the shadow of a worldwide cataclysm, our first festivals sought to use culture as a healing balm to bring peoples and nations together in celebration of our common humanity and help ‘the flowering of the human spirit’.
This year we will welcome six country delegations to Scotland from South Korea, Lebanon, Mexico, France, Colombia and Germany, to sample the best of Edinburgh's cultural festivals. If you would like to know more about 2022's performing arts delegations please contact the Momentum Delivery Team.
2022 Alumni Offer
Following the success of last year’s online Alumni offer we will be providing delegates with a platform which highlights a special selection of industry events and show listings from across the festivals put together by our team of experts. Whilst you might not be able to join us in person this year, we hope this insight into the Edinburgh festivals programmes, will offer you an inspiring insight into the work presented in the city this year. You will have access to our Momentum microsite, featuring weekly topical spotlights, performance listings and industry events from Wednesday July 28.
