Festivals Edinburgh - Engagement & Skills Manager (fixed term)

This new specialist role will build connections between the Edinburgh Festivals around their community engagement and knowledge sharing projects.
The successful candidate will help Edinburgh's festivals to engage with more communities and creatives, sustaining Edinburgh's leading festival city position locally and globally, by:
- mapping the community engagement opportunities of all the festivals, creating easy to access information to increase awareness of their offers, and extending connections with new areas and new partners across Edinburgh
- increasing knowledge sharing on festivals management with creative professionals across Scotland through networking, peer support, information and advice
This role is part of the new Platforms for Creative Excellence (PLACE) programme launched in November 2018 by the Festivals, the City of Edinburgh Council and the Scottish Government. Further details can be found here.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in cultural project management and/or the management of engagement programmes, and a good knowledge of the cultural, educational and community sectors in Edinburgh and Lothians.
