About the Role
Can you see the potential in bringing together an Edinburgh community with a citywide network of cultural organisations? Are you passionate about the community & voluntary sector participating in collaborative cultural planning?
The Development Officer will be supported by EVOC and Festivals Edinburgh to build a relationship with a Lead Partner organisation in the community, and consult with the community and identified cultural organisations to create future opportunities.
Enthusiastic, tenacious, a great communicator, you must enjoy working with community organisations, sector leaders and people with passion.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Create an agreed project management, monitoring and evaluation approach
- Design and deliver a process for expressions of interest from community organisations and identify a Lead Partner for the pilot project
- Identify a range of festivals and other city based cultural organisations to take part in the participatory cultural planning pilot, with project partners
- Work with the Lead Partner to research community in depth and provide an initial overview of activities and needs
- Prioritise and take forward agreed actions and deliverables of project, managing budgets and progress reporting
- Manage the organisation and delivery of project meetings between the delivery partners
- Report to EVOC, FE and the Desire Lines network on project planning and delivery
- Manage the collection of data, information, case studies and other evaluative materials from project activities as appropriate. Including an end of project case study.
- Seek means of sharing knowledge, experience and activities/services across the membership of Desire Lines and project partners, and with relevant networks locally, nationally and internationally.
